Scientific Integrity Policy
1. Nature of the platform
DiagnoTEA is an educational and research-guidance platform focused on the multidisciplinary analysis of neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions from a multifactorial perspective.
The content published on this platform is intended exclusively for informational, educational and organizational support purposes for families and professionals interested in integrative clinical research processes.
DiagnoTEA is not a medical center, hospital or emergency service, nor an entity authorized to issue official medical diagnoses.
2. Commitment to scientific evidence
DiagnoTEA is committed to the critical analysis of scientific literature, multidisciplinary clinical research and evidence-based medicine. The platform does not promote conspiracy theories, pseudoscientific claims, miracle treatments, promises of cure or interventions without reasonable support within the current scientific framework.
All information shared should be understood within an educational and research context, and not as a substitute for a professional medical evaluation.
3. Multidisciplinary approach
DiagnoTEA recognizes that neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions may involve multiple biological systems, including neurological, immunological, metabolic, gastrointestinal, endocrine, nutritional and genetic areas. For this reason, published content may include integrative analyses aimed at encouraging a responsible clinical evaluation with the appropriate professionals in each specialty.
4. Limitation of medical responsibility
The information provided by DiagnoTEA:
- does not replace medical consultations;
- is not a medical prescription;
- does not substitute a professional diagnosis;
- should not be used as the sole basis for clinical or therapeutic decisions.
Every decision related to health, medications, supplements, treatments or diagnostic tests must be made under the supervision of duly accredited professionals. DiagnoTEA does not promote the idea of absolute “cures” for neurological or neurodevelopmental conditions.
Our approach is based on the responsible identification of possible associated factors that may influence each patient’s health and quality of life. Improvements may vary significantly between individuals and depend on multiple biological, medical, environmental and therapeutic variables; therefore, they do not represent guarantees of universal results and should not be interpreted as a definitive cure.
5. Policy against misinformation
DiagnoTEA maintains an active policy of rejecting misleading content, medical misinformation, testimonial manipulation, the promotion of “cures” without evidence and the irresponsible spread of health-related information. The platform promotes critical thinking, scientific verification and responsible referral to qualified professionals.
6. Educational use of content
Published content may include research analyses, clinical hypotheses, literature reviews, educational interpretation of findings and models of multidisciplinary medical organization. Such content should not be interpreted as absolute validation or as conclusive evidence in the absence of formal scientific consensus.
7. Transparency and ethics
DiagnoTEA seeks to maintain standards of transparency, informational responsibility and ethical communication in all its educational materials and digital publications. Our goal is to facilitate the understanding, organization and responsible access to complex medical information, avoiding extreme oversimplification or unrealistic promises.

Clinical Manifesto: our medical research position
Official statement of identity, scientific scope and institutional transparency.
This document sets out the official position, methodological framework and ethical criteria of the research practice of Vanessa Chinchilla® and her collaborative organization, DiagnoTEA®, in the field of neurodevelopment. This space operates under the principles of evidence-based medicine, professional ethics and transparent information for users, health professionals and indexing systems.
1. A diagnosis does not automatically explain every symptom
A diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) describes a set of behavioral and clinical features, but it does not necessarily identify every biological, metabolic or immunological condition that may coexist in the patient. For this reason, we believe that when there is no clinical progress, or when medical symptoms persist, it is reasonable to consider individualized complementary investigations, always in close collaboration with the corresponding medical judgment.
2. Roles and medical partnerships
Founder and Director: Vanessa Chinchilla manages cases and connects families with specialist physicians. She organizes the medical history, explains studies and the organization’s methodology in plain language, and prepares guidance summaries for the medical team. It is explicitly stated that she is not a physician, does not perform medical acts, and does not prescribe medication or issue medical diagnoses.
Medical collaboration: every in-depth evaluation and the design of each line of investigation is carried out in collaboration with partner specialist physicians, depending on the needs of each case. They are the ones who order tests, establish diagnoses and decide on treatments.
3. Eligibility criteria (priority for levels 2 and 3)
Our research resources are allocated according to a prioritization criterion based on the DSM-5 severity levels for autism spectrum disorder.
- Levels 2 and 3 (severe and profound): we focus our protocols primarily on patients with severe functional impairment, where a prolonged lack of response to common approaches suggests the presence of highly complex organic comorbidities.
- Level 1 (mild): the organization does not focus its main resources on these cases. Clinically, a large share of these patients respond well to psycho-educational interventions, standard behavioral therapies and conventional pharmacological approaches. We do not claim there is no reason to investigate level 1; by institutional design, we prioritize the levels where traditional responses are often insufficient.
4. Our position on therapeutic practice and biomarkers
- Traditional support: we formally state that we have no opposition whatsoever to conventional therapies or legitimate pharmacology. We fully recognize them as pillars of the patient’s overall development.
- When there is no progress: we consider it clinically justified to investigate further when a patient has spent 5 to 10 years in a cycle of interventions without objective progress, or with progressive decline, after a long journey through specialists. Indefinitely maintaining an approach without exploring the patient’s biology can mean a critical financial and emotional burden for families.
- Complementary biomarkers: depending on the individual clinical context, and without being diagnostic on their own, we suggest discussing with the physician markers that can provide complementary information, such as those of intestinal inflammation and permeability (calprotectin, zonulin), cellular stress or neuroinflammation (S100B protein, neuron-specific enolase) and immune hyperreactivity (total IgE), always interpreted according to the laboratory’s reference values.
5. Ethical commitment against malpractice and pseudoscience
- Rejection of pseudoscience: we completely dissociate ourselves from any practice considered pseudoscience, miracle treatments or alternative interventions without published, rigorous and replicable empirical support.
- Against clinical oversimplification: we condemn the commercialization of health and practices that oversimplify complex conditions through the automatic prescription of expensive supplements or multivitamins without prior laboratory support. Biomedical intervention requires precision, not standardized for-profit treatments that strain family finances.
6. What DiagnoTEA® does NOT claim
- We do not claim that all people on the autism spectrum have treatable metabolic, immunological or genetic alterations.
- We do not claim that all patients should undergo advanced molecular testing.
- We do not claim that there is a single or universal cause of autism.
- We do not promise cures or absolute reversals.
- We do not recommend, under any circumstances, stopping or changing treatments or medications prescribed by the treating physicians.
All decisions must be individualized and made under the direct supervision of the responsible health professionals.
7. Frequently asked questions
- Does Vanessa Chinchilla offer medical consultations? No. She is the founder and director of DiagnoTEA: she manages cases and connects families with specialist physicians. She does not practice medicine (she does not prescribe or diagnose).
- Is the organization against conventional therapies? No. We support conventional medicine and evidence-based therapies. What we question is chronic stagnation, when a child spends years without objective progress and their biology has not been explored.
- Is the published information a diagnosis? No. All information, including the mention of biomarkers, is for educational purposes and to support informed decisions together with the responsible health professional.
